K-Studio took a stunning vertical landscape and carved luxurious one-and two-story dwellings into its steep cliff face.

Here, white cement and a dappling of dark stone create a living sculpture that flows above the water and into the heavens. Hard angles, strategic stairwells, and private terraces with equally sequestered pools set the scene, while the showstopper is the view of the glorious Aegean Sea.

Here, one finds many lovely churches built in the Cycladic architectural style and set on rocks overlooking the blue sea. This includes the church of Ai-Stratis, in the center of the village, and the Monastery of Saint Nikolaos. Be sure not to miss Skaros—the remains of a Venetian Castle constructed in 1207 by Marco Sanudo, the ruler of all Cyclades islands at the time. Imerovigli is only five minutes from the capital of Fira, with its cafes, taverns and more. It’s also just 15 minutes from Oia, home to whitewashed houses carved into the rugged clifftops and a 19th-century mansion that serves as a Naval Maritime Museum.
